Tree Lung-er?

A man who complained to doctors of severe chest pains was stunned when told his suspected tumour was actually a fir tree growing inside his lung.

Pretty sure this is the craziest thing I've heard in a long time. A tree growing in a man's lung? I mean how do surgeons prepare for this type of operation? It's not like its an everyday occurrence.

Either way this is a very interesting story and I am glad that the man is recovering and doing well.

Amazingly Smooth?

Ok Gene Simmons. You tricked me. I was so stoked about the new Dr. Pepper Cherry, I cut out my little coupon from my Rolling Stone Magazine and marched my way right into the nearest Wesco Gas Station to buy myself a 20oz. I examined the label and realized it looked a lot like Cherry Coke Zero. That right there was the first negative. So I cracked open the top and take a swig.

MMmm...tastes like good ol' Dr. Pepper. Wait! I'm supposed to be drimnking the NEW Cherry Dr. Pepper, not the original! But to my dismay it really was the "NEW" Cherry flavor that is supposed to be so amazingly smooth. I'm sorry but as a fan of regular Dr. Pepper I think they equally NOT smooth. The fizzy bubbles getcha every time...tingles in the nose and everything.
I was really convinced and quite excited when I saw the Gene Simmons KISS commercial. However, my opion is that it tastes the same as regular and that if I were to choose a cherry Dr. Pepper...it would be the black cherry vanilla one they already have availble. But Good job Dr. Pepper on your nice website! I GOT KISSED! See I can do it too!

Cookie Monster

After trying my hardest to lose a couple of pounds for the company weigh-in, I couldn't wait to eat something other than fruit veggies and water! I'm not over-weight...just chunkier than normal. This is due to the fact that I am not depressed anymore and I actually have an appetite. I'm one of those people that doesn't eat a lot of food when I am sad or depressed. Since I have the most wonderfully awesome boyfriend you could imagine the food I am putting away. So back in January I decided to sign up for the Company weigh-in in hopes to shed a few extra pounds that I didn't exercise off over the winter months. Well long story short I didn't quite lose every pounds I was supposed to and that meant I didn't win any money. OH WELL. So instead of being mad, I decided to celebrate and eat "real" food again, since for an entire week all I ate was fruit and veggies and drank water. I had never been to Cheddars before, but Steve has and he was raving about the amazing food and desserts. Especially the Cookie Monster dessert. Knowing my love for cookies he thought this would be the perfect place to "celebrate"!

After driving across the state to get to a Cheddars we finally sit down and I take a look at the menu. Everything sou
nds so delicious! But I decided to go with Steak and Ribs, side of glazed baby carrots and broccoli cheese casserole. I was so excited to see broccoli cheese casserole as a side dish! That is like one of my favorite this when I go to Potlucks, and to see it on the menu! Cheedars was def. on its way to one of my top fav restaurants. They have warm and soft crossants with honey butter that so are so good they melt in your mouth! On top of that the steak was perfect, I didn't even use any A1 sauce. It was cooked just right and it was sitting ontop of these amazing onion straws. Kind of like the ones Ruby Tuesday used to have. the ribs were great as well, but I only ate a tiny bit of that knowing I had to save room for the monster. On to dessert!

This is a cookie Monster:

This is a cookie lovers Dream! Huge warm baked chocolate chip cookie, with two scoops of ice cream, hot fudge, whip cream, nuts nad cherry. OMG. It was amazing. This just shot Cheddars up to #2 on my favorite restaurant list. Right below Applebees...always good food and fun!

Inconceivable!!

So our company has put a ban on streaming media and any type of downloading of media onto our computers. Due to bandwidth issues at the moment sites like Pandora.com, Yahoo Music and YouTube have temporarily been banned from our usage. Now I work in a Marketing department and we are working on some very tedious projects that will help with future projects. I have a limited amount of cds that will work in Windows Media Player, and I cannot download my Zune software here because of work restrictions. So I am pretty close to going insane without my constant flow of music from Pandora. One of my co-workers had a great idea, Bring in DVDs and listen to those! And so I get all excited to watch The Princess Bride and my PowerDVD program tells me my region code needs to be updated. WTF is a region code? Anyways I click a bunch of buttons and voila! The Princess Bride begins! If you have never watched the Princess Bride, you should go and rent it right now. Seriously. Here's what the 20th anniversary addition looks like:

Ok I know it was made in the 80's and you might be skeptical, but really just give it a chance. It's not your typical Fairytale. I mean, what fairy tale combines the likes of Andre the Giant, Billy Crystal and Fred Savage (pre-Wonder Years) in a comedic tale with heroes, giants, villains, wizards and true love. None other than The Princess Bride. What's also funny to me is seeing Mr. Hall from the Clueless TV Series act like an evil villian.

April Fool's Day Fun

So I don't know if anyone noticed how easy it is to trick people on the internet, but it's pretty dang easy. You would think being a person who is a fan of social media and other viral websites and such that I would expect there to be fun little tricks played today on some of my favorite websites. Since 2001 ThinkGeek has been fooling their customers into trying to purchase fake products. They actually sit and come up with tempting products that one might not know is actually fake. I was definitely fooled last year by the Personal Soundtrack Shirt . Apparently so were many other people, because, ThinkGeek actually created that product because so many customers tried to buy their fake shirt. So experiencing that last year one would think that I would not fall for that joke again...well beleive it or not it happened.

I opened my Gmail and found a newsletter from ThinkGeek and was filled with excitement because I love looking at the new nerdy geeky products they offer. Forgetting that it was April fool's I click through the new products and come across Squeez Bacon. Now, I am not a fan of bacon by any means...unless it is covered in chocolate and in a candy bar form. But I do have a few friends that LOVE bacon. So I thought this would be a nice gift...ya know for Easter or Flag Day or something. But I clicked "BUY" and then realized that got me again! I should have known Squeezable Bacon at $7.99 a bottle was too good to be true.

Here are some other awesome products

Oh and South Park has a new April Fool's episode on Comedy Central @ 10pm. No Joke.
