So I don't know if anyone noticed how easy it is to trick people on the internet, but it's pretty dang easy. You would think being a person who is a fan of social media and other viral websites and such that I would expect there to be fun little tricks played today on some of my favorite websites. Since 2001 ThinkGeek has been fooling their customers into trying to purchase fake products. They actually sit and come up with tempting products that one might not know is actually fake. I was definitely fooled last year by the Personal Soundtrack Shirt . Apparently so were many other people, because, ThinkGeek actually created that product because so many customers tried to buy their fake shirt. So experiencing that last year one would think that I would not fall for that joke again...well beleive it or not it happened.
I opened my Gmail and found a newsletter from ThinkGeek and was filled with excitement because I love looking at the new nerdy geeky products they offer. Forgetting that it was April fool's I click through the new products and come across Squeez Bacon.
Now, I am not a fan of bacon by any means...unless it is covered in chocolate and in a candy bar form. But I do have a few friends that LOVE bacon. So I thought this would be a nice gift...ya know for Easter or Flag Day or something. But I clicked "BUY" and then realized that got me again! I should have known Squeezable Bacon at $7.99 a bottle was too good to be true.
Here are some other awesome products
Oh and South Park has a new April Fool's episode on Comedy Central @ 10pm. No Joke.
So I finally got a blog! w00t! Took me long enough to decide I'd be better off having a blog hosted for free than get everything all together myself and try to do it with everything I have going on.So I guess I'll shut up and start this blog off.
I saw this on ThinkGeek. It's a R2 Fish Training School Kit and I am pretty sure it's the coolest thing I've seen all day. Well aside from my baby grape this morning. I have a fish tank all ready to be used...except that I have no fish or accessories. So I guess now I will have to buy a fish and train it in hopes that it will become the next Fernando Torres or Lionel Messi. You might be thinking "Wow, this girl actually might know something about "soccer" or "football" (depending on where you hail). Sorry to burst your bubble but, nope I don't really. My awesome boyfriend Steve is actually teaching me all about it, and how to play. So those two names that I mentioned are prolly the only ones I really remember, not to mention I have a stuffed animal penguin named after Torres.
Not only can you have your pet play soccer, but make an obstacle course, and other fun things. Either way I think this fish tank thing is cool, who knew you could teach your fish to do tricks just like your dog??
